Many Photos

Garrick decided that since it had been such a long time since we updated the blog that he would throw on a bunch of random pictures to bring everyone up to speed on the last 8 months.
12/7/2006 Daks drove a remote control vehicle for the first time. His Uncle DJ showed him how and was nice enough to share with Daks. We were amazed at Daks' comprehension of how to control the remote!
This is Daks and his friend, Cali. We went to a Grizzlies Hockey Game. The kids were so cute! They had a lot of fun.
Halloween 2006 This was taken at our HOA Halloween party.
Daks Trick-or-Treating. He was so cute about carrying his own pumpkin to put his candies in! He'd go up to the doors and knock and hold out his basket. No "trick-or-treat!" Just the assumption that people would give him goodies if he knocked on their doors...
Garrick was Joe Dirt, I was one of Charlie's Angels, and we dubbed Daks "G.I. Daks".
Out to dinner at Buca di Beppo with friends.
This was when we got back from Hawaii and were picking Daks up from Grandma Julie's house. He's wearing the shirt we bought for him in Hawaii.
September 2006 Garrick and I were very fortunate to get to have a week long vacation in Hawaii! This was taken at Sunset on the last night we were there. We were able to visit friends and had a really good time! We sure missed Daks while we were gone, but it was so nice to have a vacation and spend some time alone together!
"Onion Days" Payson's Labor Day celebration. Grandma Melanie wanted to take Daks on the rides. We were nervous that he wouldn't sit down on this one. Grandma Melanie jumped up there to sit with him so she could hold onto him. That guy is telling her she can't be on the ride. When she was told she couldn't ride with Daks, she ran around the outside of it the whole time it was going! It wiped her out, but we were impressed at how long she kept up with it! It was pretty funny.
Daks and his cousin, Richard on another ride at the carnival. Richard put his arm around Daks. It was so cute!
This is Daks, sitting in the grass at my grandparents' house in Genola. This is a neat picture to me because of my background there.
Daks is helping Daddy with the laundry. At one point he climbed clear into the washer to pull something out.
Playing with Daddy's yo-yo at the Chiropractor.
Daks fed himself a banana. You can't tell very well in the picture, but his hair looked like Ken Doll hair it was so plastered and sticky!
Daks is showing off his new "star shoes".
Daks is sharing his crackers with Daddy. Daks would take a bite and then give the other half to Daddy. You should have seen Daks' face when Garrick bit the WHOLE cracker instead of only half! It was so funny! This was taken during the Auction at the Bundy Reunion. July 2006
Bundy Reunion races! This was the first year Daks was big enough to race. Even though Daks was only barely 1 we thought he'd have such an advantage over the other kids because he'd been walking for so long. The gun fired for the racers to start running and Daks took about 2 steps toward Daddy and then turned around and came back to me...
Hogle Zoo Summer 2006
For Grandma Julie for Mother's Day the grandkids each made her a tile to put in her garden. We are putting Daks' handprints in his and then decorated with little glass stones. His cousin, Preslee, put her bum print in hers... We all got a kick out of that.
Daks' One Year Birthday Party at Grandma Julie's! He was playing in the bubbles with his Great Grandpa Garrick. So cute to see Grandpa smiling!
Opening presents at Daks' 2nd One Year Birthday party.
The family all gathered at the Bell's for Talia's and Darillyn's High School Graduation Celebration. This is Daks and his 2nd cousin, Kianna. They are only 2 months apart and had a lot of fun together that day!

One Year Old!

We just can't believe our baby boy is already a whole ONE YEAR OLD!! But what a cute guy he is! Posted by Picasa

Daddy & Daks

Here are the boys! Aren't they handsome?!! Posted by Picasa

Family Picture Time!

Okay, everyone, I have gotten behind again. I'm sorry! But I promise that this time it's not my fault. The whole blogging system was having fits for a while. I don't have much time right now, but I wanted to stick our new family photos up for all to see! May 22, 2006 Posted by Picasa

High Chair

One of Daks' favorite toys is his high chair. He is constantly climbing in the basket, or standing behind it to pull the seatbelt through. January 28, 2006 Posted by Picasa

We Can Share

Daks and I shared a candy bar. I ate the candy bar and Daks ate the wrapper. It seems to be his favorite part! January 27, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Play Ball!

Our neighbor, Dylan, came over to play. He showed Daks how to play "catch". We had to explain that Daks doesn't know how to catch a ball because he's small still. So Dylan would roll it to him. They both had lots of fun! Garrick taught Daks how to KICK the ball. We thought it ws pretty cute until the next day when Daks kicked a baby at church... January 26, 2006 Posted by Picasa

You Can Do It!

We keep thinking that Daks will walk soon. The closest we've gotten is that he will walk if we hold one of his hands instead of both. January 26, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Side View

Here he is again, from the side. Posted by Picasa

Taking A Nap

Daks was placed in his high chair to play. Next thing we knew he had fallen asleep! You can see the tips of his toes barely sticking out from under the tray since he always pulls that leg up under there when he's in the high chair. Again, as so often is the case, it didn't look very comfortable, but that doesn't seem to matter to him! January 25, 2006 Posted by Picasa

And He's Off!

I guess Daks was anxious to go on another trip before we even unpacked from the last one? He had lots of fun climbing all over these suitcases. When he wanted down he would get as close to the edge as he could, tip forward, and fall until his head hit the floor. Then he would try to pull the rest of his body down by crawling onto the floor. Once he got down he would turn around and climb back up again! January 24, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Little Monster

Daks so kindly ate my Church Lesson Manuals. As you can see, he was rather thrilled with himself about it, too. Little stinker. January 23, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Cute Boy!

If Daks keeps this up he may have a career in modeling. It cracks me up the poses that he gets into all by himself! In this picture Daks was originally heading for the lamp on Mom and Dad's bed. But he took a short break to pose for us. January 23, 2006 Posted by Picasa

8 Months Old

Daks thought he would rearrange Great Grandma Garrick's dishes. He's such a help! January 22, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Hot Fudge Face

Tia Tiah came to see us and Daks and I decided to go back with her and visit for a few days. Grandma Rosie took us out for ice cream and Tiah and I gave him little bites of our ice cream. Turns out he really likes it! He would get mad at us if we put the spoon in one of our mouths instead of his. And as you can see, he got it all over his face! January 18, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Half Daks

I think he could be in the circus with this trick. Daks is so flexible he could fold into a little box or something. Lately this has been his choice position to fall asleep in. Bent in half. It sure doesn't look comfortable, but he seems to like it! January 14, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Mr. T

This picture was taken to demonstrate Daks' immense strength. Notice how all of the toys on his exersaucer are bent toward him? He grabs them and pulls them as close as he can to himself so that he can get his mouth around them. Daks got his first tooth a week ago and the second one is on its way as well! January 11, 2006 Posted by Picasa

A New Cousin

Daks got down on the floor to play with his new cousin, Preslee. He was so excited about the baby! As always, he wanted to pull her hair and poke her eyes out... Grandma posed as Ref and kept everything under control. And see Daks standing? He started doing that by himself recently! January 2, 2006 Posted by Picasa

What's With the Fingers, Guys?

Two of Garrick's high school buddies had their first babies shortly after Daks was born. Daks was born May, Keyan in July, and then Chloe in August. They celebrated the New Year together by sucking on their fingers simultaneously. December 31, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Granny Cool

Grandma got Oakleys for Christmas! And aren't they stylish! Posted by Picasa

Little Brat

A couple days after turning 7 months old Daks started crawling! A couple days after that he started pulling himself up on things and walking along them. Then he started crawling up stairs. Can't he just be a baby for a little while? December 31, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Happy Family

Us at the Family Party. Garrick would have to sit on my lap instead of vise versa... Posted by Picasa

Family Christmas Party

Here's all the Great-Grandababies on the Bundy side. Kianna, Daks, Gage, and Ethan. What a good looking bunch! December 31, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Yummy!

Daks drank right from the cup! First time he's ever done that! First time he's ever had apple juice, too. He really liked the stuff! He was messy with that cup, but he is with a bottle, too. And we can't ever just have a picture taken of him in the action anymore. As soon as he sees that camera, he cheeses it up! December 30, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Just For Me!

Daks got to open more presents from Grandma Rosie and his aunt and uncles. He loves, loves, loves the wrapping paper! He got one little piece of paper in his hand from the first present he opened and he kept it clutched in his fist, literally, for HOURS!!! December 26, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Sweet Potatoes

Daks' Grandma Julie fed him his first sweet potatoes. He LOVED them! A good way to end his First Christmas Day! We took a little road trip on Christmas to visit the Grandparents. We stopped to see my cousins on our way. One of them had some rubber darts for a gun and would hand them to Daks to play with. As soon as they got in his little hand he would drop them on the floor and just LAUGH!!! He thought it was the funniest thing to see this cousin continuously bend over to pick up the darts! I wish I could show the video on here... Posted by Picasa

What A Help!

Daks helps his daddy open a present. Taking time to also pose, of course! Posted by Picasa

"How Interesting"

Daks often lies on the floor like this now, studying whatever he's holding. Usually books. If he can read a book with his arms straight up in the air...more power to him! Posted by Picasa

Wooh Wooh!!!!

Daks gave his daddy something he's always wanted...a train whistle! Except that Garrick wants a REAL TRAIN WHISTLE to put in his car to replace the horn... Posted by Picasa

There You Go...

It was so fun watching Daks open these presents! Next year he'll be a monster! He's only 7 months old, but he sure acted like he knew what he was doing! Posted by Picasa

One, Two, Three, RIP!!!

Daks was FINALLY able to let loose on all those presents we had to keep him away from for a whole month! He just liked the shiny paper. He didn't seem to care much about what was inside at first. But a little later he got the hang of it. Posted by Picasa

What the...

Here's MY Christmas present! I wonder what it could be... Garrick talked and talked for MONTHS about how excited he was to get this present for me. It was HUGE and I couldn't figure out what it could possibly be! Turns out Santa had to cover the entire cupboard to hide well my under-the-cupbaord installed computer screen!!! I was so excited and I LOVE it! Posted by Picasa

Merry Christmas 2005!!!

Here's our tree Christmas morning. Santa really was kind to us this year! It looked like there were so many presents. Mostly they were for other family members and Daks. Spoiled little guy! Just how we like it! Posted by Picasa

Cute Box

Today our little baby is a whole 7 months old! He just LOVES playing in this box! He'll grab a couple of toys in his hand, drag them into the box with him, and keep humself quite entertained. I'm so glad that he can entertain himself and find his own fun! December 21, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Would Ya Look At That?!

Daks is so very talented! He can balance a spoon on his nose! He's also done this trick with metal silverware, not just plastic. He must really have the nose for it---I've never been able to do this! This was how Garrick kept himself entertained at the ward Christmas party. December 17, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday to You!

Today is Garrick's birthday. He is shown sporting his "Happy Birthday SLICE of cake".... We went to dinner and Garrick opened presents from family. What a good time! Deceber 15, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Hurray For Gas Prices!

We got a new gas station on our corner. Gas prices a problem? Not anymore! December 15, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Make Me Laugh!

Daks likes to play with the doorstoppers all over the house. He wiggles over to them as soon as he sees one so he can hit it. They make that "boinggg" sound and he just laughs and laughs! December 10, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Family Photo

We love our little baby! December 10, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town!

Daks met Santa for the first time at our HOA Christmas Party. We were so sure that he would freak out like little kids always do when they see the bearded man. But it was just another person for Daks! He looked at him, sat on his lap, tugged on his beard... December 10, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Harmon's

Daks LOVES to pull his Daddy's spikey hair! He really gets a kick out of it. Dad, on the other hand, is not pleased with such activities. This was Daks' first "piggy back ride". December 9, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Stuck

Daks somehow wriggled his way underneath the exersaucer. He's such a silly kid! Garrick and I wondered if he would be able to get out. It was a struggle, but he did okay! For a baby who doesn't "crawl" yet, he sure gets around! December 7, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Good Idea?

Garrick had to do something that he needed the Christmas tree out of the way for. So he got underneath it and moved the entire thing back and forth with his back. He's like a little pack horse! It was pretty funny. December 5, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Santa Daks

A perfect Christmas card shot! Daks was so cute in his little Santa outfit! I had a really hard time actually getting a good photograph. Mostly he just wanted to eat the "snow" and Star Wars figurines from the tree. He couldn't have struck a cuter pose, though! He's so photogenic and I'm baffled as to where he gets that from! November 30, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Dad's Turn

Garrick took his first turn to feed Daks in his high chair. It's a little bit different than just giving him a bottle! We got some baby sized spoons and that made it a little easier on Daks. November 29, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Not Quite

We have been trying to teach Daks how to hold his own bottle. He can HOLD it, but he can't quite understand how to get that bottle's goodness in him. He'll suck on the nipple, and then see the liquid in the bottom of the bottle, so he turns the bottle over and sucks on the bottom of it. I think we still have some work to do... November 28, 2005 Posted by Picasa

First High Chair Meal

Daks ate in his high chair for the first time today! He had some rice cereal. It was also the first time he ate rice cereal, or off from a spoon for that matter. He was sure messy! Grandma Julie taught us a trick she had to use with Garrick. We made the cereal thicker the next time and he did MUCH better! November 28, 2005 Posted by Picasa

A Daks Original!

Daks drew this picture on the shower wall. His first drawing was on a CD that he burned for me. This is his second drawing. Pretty impressive for a 6 month old baby! November 28, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Silly Eater!

Daks decided that he wouldn't eat his bottle unless he was standing up. ??? I guess that as a parent you just have to go with the flow sometimes. November 25, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Mr. Fix-It

Daks was getting his diaper changed on Dad's lap. He reached right under the steering wheel and started grabbing at whatever he could reach. He looked like a little mechanic! November 25, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Hello!

Daks will often turn his little neck around as far as it will move so that he can see his Mommy and Daddy in the front seat. I'm sure going to miss those big eyes when he gets too big for this carseat! November 25, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving Day

It was sure a long day! Daks decided to throw in the towel and lounge on the bed. He's such a funny boy. Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving Day

Daks sure had lots of firsts on his first Thanksgiving! Here he is in his new high chair for the first time. Cousin Sammi really wanted to get in on all the photos, too, as you can see in a couple others... Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving Day

I decided to let Daks try his first olive. He wasn't too sure about it, but kept going back for more. The pickle on the other hand..I couldn't get that away from him! He made sour faces, but he sure acted as if he liked it! Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving Day

Daks sure loved playing in the box his high chair was in, too! Daks went through a stage when a big box was the best babysitter he's ever had! And what a relief it was to Mom. Posted by Picasa

Mommy's Boys

Aren't they cute? Daks sure loves his Daddy! Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving Day

Or course, in Daks' eyes, the REAL present was the wrapping paper! Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving Day

On Thanksgiving Daks got to open his first Christmas present: A MUCH needed high chair! He did a pretty good job ripping that present open. We were sure excited after that to see him open lots of presents on Christmas morning! November 24, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Six Months Old

Daks is sitting up by himself so well now! He looked so cute sitting Indian Style, with his little feet crossed over each other. At his appontment Daks weighed in at 18 lbs. 13.5 oz. and 28 inches long. He had to get shots again and hardly even cried! He is such a big boy! November 21, 2005 Posted by Picasa

A Visitor

Daks' little cousin, Kianna, came to play. Daks was kind enough to let her play in his exersaucer, even though her tippy toes could barely touch the ground in it. The stipulation for Kianna playing in Daks' toy was that he got her grab her hair and poke her eyes out. Daks was the only one who thought that was a good trade. November 17, 2005 Posted by Picasa

CANDY BARS!!!!

Six days after his first Halloween Daks discovered candy bars. I put an unwrapped chocolate bar in his hand, just to see what he would do. He held onto it and waved it around; he let it melt all over him and his pajamas. But he wouldn't put it in his mouth! He preferred to eat the wrapped candy bars! Posted by Picasa

Hide And Go Seek

I put Daks on the floor, on top of this blanket. A couple seconds later I looked at him and he had rolled over, taking the blanket with him! He was just lying there, looking at a book. Silly boy! November 4, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Comparison

This picture was taken 5 1/2 months after the first one of Daks in his carseat. We just wanted to show how big he REALLY is in his carseat now, since so many people commented that he looked huge in it before. Then was NOTHING compared to now! November 4, 2005. Posted by Picasa

I'm Getting So Big!

November 4, 2005. Daks is sitting up all by himself now! He's been able to sit up for about a month. Now he is good enough that I can leave him like this if I go in another room. Before he was needing help to not fall over backward.Posted by Picasa

Sipping Cider Through A Straw

November 3, 2005. We have been trying to teach Daks to drink through a straw. He still just sticks his tongue out and licks everything. The straw has been thus unsuccessful. We were also trying to get him to drink some prune juice. He would get the first taste in his mouth and rip his head away from the bottle in disgust. He had this nasty look on his face and would smack his tongue against his lips. Usually when Daks gets something in his mouth that he doesn't like he will take it again when offered. Not the prune juice, though! He remembered it.... Posted by Picasa

Garrick's Pumpkin

Now we all know why the dead smiley face is dead...he was shot in the forehead! Garrick even carved an exit wound in the back of the pumpkin and splattered pumpkin brains all over the side of the house. You can kind of see our curtains in the background...they're black with silver skull and crossbone decorations. We did it just for Halloween...in September....and they'll probably be there until next year... Posted by Picasa

Trick-or-Treat

Lincoln and Garrick carved our pumpkins for Halloween. Lincoln carved his of "Leatherface" from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". He even used staples for stitches and red wax for blood. He did a really good job! It's not pretty, but I think it's the coolest pumpkin carving I've ever seen. Posted by Picasa

"GO! My favorite sports team!"

October 29, 2005. Talia and Lincoln were in visiting, so we decided to go to our first hockey game. Everytime the Utah Grizzlies made a goal a train horn was sounded. It was VERY loud and Daks does NOT like loud noises! Talia is protecting his little ears as he wonders what is going on. Posted by Picasa

Sleep Tight

I think I know where Daks gets his funny sleeping positions from... Garrick looked so funny lying on the floor with his hands crossed, knees touching, and legs apart. At least he had both of his shoes on. All the liederhosen business wore Dad right out! Posted by Picasa

Daks and Uncle Linc

Uncle Lincoln liked the liederhosen from the beginning. He got a kick out of Daks actually wearing it for the first time. We got lots of cute pictures! Posted by Picasa

Reflection

Everyday I show Daks "the cute baby in the mirror." He LOVES that cute baby! He grins and goos...oh, it's the cutest thing! It almost appears as if he's critiquing himself and making adjustments on his outfit. I had to put velcro on the hat to get it to stay on his head. It's a bit small, while the liederhosen is the only thing he owns that is too big! Posted by Picasa

Pinocchio

October 29, 2005. Daks tries on his Liederhosen that Tia Tiah brought back from Austria. I love his toes in this picture! It almost looks like he's tapping them on the carpet. As you can also see, Daks is starting to stand pretty well if he has a little help! Posted by Picasa

October 25, 2005

We visited the Museum of Church History and Art for one of Garrick's school projects. They had a whole section of art done by children between the ages of 3 and 12. It was really cute and neat! Garrick is sporting a Daks being carried in a baby back-pack, fully installed with binki lanyard so the bink can't be dropped on the ground. Posted by Picasa

Funny Sleeper

It is common to find Daks like this in the mornings. Usually he'll be turned some funny direction in the bed, too. One sock off, no covers, turned to his stomach when he was put in bed on his back... October 23, 2005 Posted by Picasa

The Party, October 22, 2005

Daks can balance a spoon on his nose! I wish I had a picture of him doing it. It's really funny. He holds his nose up in the air, and keeps his whole body very still, while Garrick puts the spoon on his nose. But that's not why Daks is crying. He was playing with this spoon and looked over at Garrick, in his costume. Daks' little face turned sad and he started to CRY! It was so sad! After that, we took Daks home, and took our Halloween costumes off. Posted by Picasa

The Fam

We all dressed up for our ward Halloween party. Garrick was Joe Dirt, and Daks was, of course, a spider. A little girl at the party asked me what I was, and why I was wearing a bath robe. I didn't know what to say... We were already in our costumes when we woke Daks up and he looked at us with a very confused look on his face. He did NOT like our costumes! Posted by Picasa

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Daks is going to be a Spider for Halloween. His costume is so cute! I don't know about you, but he's the most adorable spider I've ever seen! Daks turned 5 months old yesterday.Posted by Picasa

Remote Hog!

Whenever Daks gets ahold of the remote, he smiles really big and shrieks in laughter! I think we're in trouble... Posted by Picasa

GO TEAM!

Uncle Dewey saw this BYU onesie and told Aunt Tannis that they needed to buy it. She questioned, "Who would we give it to? We don't have any babies!" So they gave it to Daks. He's sitting up really well by himself. Since he got the exersaucer, he stands pretty well, too. (If we hold onto him, of course.) He's getting really good balance. October 16, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Bouncy Chair

Daks also got a new bouncy chair, since he outgrew his other one. It plays music, and talks, and lights up. There's a mirror that Daks can look into. Everytime he catches a glimpse of that cute baby's reflection, he gets the biggest grin on his face and gets so excited! It's really cute to see! Posted by Picasa

New Toys!

On October 7, Daks got an exersaucer. He watched Garrick put it together, wide eyed the whole time. He was curious about what Dad was doing, and he was very excited! Daks gets in his exersaucer and he goes right to work! There are some buttons with animals on them that make the animal noises, say their name, say the name in spanish, and then play a song. Daks loves to dance to "Old McDonald Had A Farm". Posted by Picasa

Out For A Drive

Garrick decided to let Daks drive. He held onto the baby, and the baby held onto the steering wheel. The car was really moving at this time, just to clarify, that Daks WAS driving! October 5, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Can You Breathe?

October 5, 2005. Daks was taking a nap. When I went to check on him, he had turned around and smashed his face right against the edge of the bed. I left him there long enough to take a picture, and then pulled him down so he could breathe. The end of his nose was bright red. Posted by Picasa

Mmm...Good!

It's not Campbell's Soup, but he sure can't get enough of it! Posted by Picasa

Out At The Ranch

We went to the Arizona Strip for General Conference weekend. Grandma Rosie gave Daks a piece of chocolate licorice. You should have seen him try to figure out how to get that long, skinny candy in his mouth! Just before we went out there, Daks started seeing things and reaching out for them. He's getting it figured out pretty well. Well enough that whenever anything is near him he thinks it's FOR him. He's constantly grabbing at things and shoving them in his mouth. October 2, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Hooray!

We were in St. George for a few weeks while Garrick had a break from school. Daks started rolling over by himself!!! He was playing with his Daddy and having a good time. Since Daks started rolling over so well, he won't sleep on his back anymore. He rolls up on his side, and THEN falls asleep. Even more recently he's decided he prefers to sleep on his stomach. Now when he pees during the night the diaper won't hold it and he frequently wets the bed. September 29, 2005. Posted by Picasa

The Clean-Up

So Dad gave him a bath in the bathroom sink. It was just the right size for him to relax into and soak. I think he liked it better than bathing in the kitchen sink since the sides aren't cold metal. Posted by Picasa

Ah Oh!

September 23, 2005. Daks was getting his diaper changed and clothes put on to start the day. And he peed all over himself! And the bed we were staying in at Grandma Rosie's house.... Posted by Picasa

Toe Sucker

Daks found his toes! And they are ALWAYS in his mouth!!! At least it gives his hands a break. He has eczema, and sucking on his hands makes a rash on his little fingers. In the morning, when we get Daks out of bed, it's not unusual for him to have one wet sock. You can also see the place on his nose that he scratched and left another scar, to compliment the one on his cheek. September 22, 2005. Posted by Picasa

4 Months Old

This is Daks, watching TV. Like I said, he likes to do that... Daks got immunizations again at his 4 month appointment. He wasn't as sore afterward, and it wasn't quite as hard on me, but I still didn't like it! Daks weighed in at a whopping 16 lbs. and was 25 1/4 inches long. Posted by Picasa

Funny Boy

Since Daks was born he does what looks like he's sucking on his bottom lip. He's actually biting it. He did it for a while after he was born, and then stopped for a couple of months. Then he started doing it again. We're constantly pulling his lip out of his gums so that it doesn't become a habit. Let's face it, if he does this when he gets teeth, he'll look REALLY goofy! I reached down to fix Daks' eyebrow and it was glued that way! I don't know what he rubbed in it, but it sure made me laugh! Posted by Picasa

Let's Go For A Ride

September 14, 2005. What can I say about this picture? Garrick's funny and Daks enjoys it... Posted by Picasa

September 11, 2005

It's SOOO hard to catch Daks doing anything cute on camera. ESPECIALLY if he's smiling! As soon as he sees the camera, he just stares at it. When we can catch him, though, it's really worth it! Posted by Picasa

September 8, 2005

I layed Daks on the floor in this little blanket his Grandma Rosie made. He went CRAZY!!! He was kicking and shrieking and making the funniest noises! Posted by Picasa

Nap Time

Grandpa Don, Grandma Melanie, and Tia Tiah came to visit over Labor Day weekend. We all watched movies together and Daks fell asleep. Most babies will fall asleep in the car, but not Daks! I've learned, though, that if he's tired and fighting it, he'll be out in 3 minutes if we watch a movie! Posted by Picasa

Smile!

September 2, 2005. You can see that Daks grew into his carseat. Garrick pulled out the camera and was flashing it in Daks' eyes while we were sitting in a dark restaurant. His eyes would go wide and blank, then he'd smile really big and giggle. Posted by Picasa

Horseshoes

September 2, 2005. Daks had a habit of briskly rubbing his head back and forth in his bed. Most babies get a bald spot from where they sleep. Daks got a bald horse shoe. He rubbed the hair off in a little halo all the way around his head. Posted by Picasa

Are We Radioactive?

Garrick's friend found these really old Geiger Counters. He was SOOO excited about it! So, of course, he went through the entire house with it, trying to find signs of radioactivity. Thankfully, he didn't find any! August 28, 2005Posted by Picasa

Hi, I'm New Here

August 27, 2005. Daks was 3 months old, this outfit is 6 month size, he wore it 2 or 3 times before he outgrew it. We've created a monster! Cutest monster I've ever seen! Posted by Picasa

AWWW!!!!

Garrick loves this picture of Daks! I just caught him at a good time, I guess? I don't even know what he was doing. It's pretty funny, though. With his eyebrow that runs clear across his forehead.... Posted by Picasa

August 25, 2005

What a cute boy! Daks used to like to be on his back, and if he was on his stomach for too long, he would start to cry. He began to figure out that if he could get the motions right, he can move if he's on his stomach! So he cries if we roll him onto his back instead now. Posted by Picasa

I LOVE this picture of Daks! He is such a cutie! Clutching his blanket, and smiling through his fingers in his mouth.... Very typical! Posted by Picasa

The Jolly GIANT

On August 20, Daks met another cousin, Ethan Horrocks. He again was towering. Daks was about 3 months old and quickly outgrowing his 3 month clothes. He was in 6 month clothes at this time. No wonder he looks so big next to his cousins! Posted by Picasa

What A Big Boy!

August 18, 2005. Daks started holding his own weight pretty well. Here he is shown sitting by himself in his Dad's lap. Posted by Picasa

Relaxing

August 18, 2005. Daks is so funny sometimes! He looked like he was just out on the beach, soaking up the sun, relaxing and enjoying it! Posted by Picasa

Scarface

We went to St. George for the weekend to take Talia home. During the time Daks ate his breakfast and woke up for the day, he put this big scratch on his cheek. 3 1/2 months later he still has a scar. He's since added one to his nose as well. By the time he's in elementary school he'll probably look like Edward Scissorhands! August 6, 2005. Posted by Picasa

Bath time!

There's nothing like taking a bath in the kitchen sink. I know took plenty that way. Daks certainly gets his share, too. Most of the time he showers with Dad. When that doesn't work out, Mom gives him a bath in the sink. He sure loves his bath/shower times, though! He just sits there and lets us do what's necessary, acting like he thoroughly enjoys every second of it! August 4, 2005. Posted by Picasa

July 30, 2005

Talia came and stayed with us for a couple of weeks before she started school. Daks' hair was greasy from lotion and Talia took it upon herself to twist his hair into dreadlocks. It was really funny and cute. I think his Daddy especially liked it. Posted by Picasa

Messy, Messy!

July 27, 2005. Daks is not a very neat eater. He gets the stuff all over the place! He was really fighting with this bottle, so he made an especially big mess all over his face. It usually just drips down his chin and into the crevace of his neck. But not this day! Posted by Picasa

A New Cousin!

Kianna Kim Warby was born on July 22. She only weighed 5 lbs. 13 oz. and Daks TOWERED over her! The last time we saw Kianna she was 2 months old and still didn't weigh as much as Daks did when he was born. July 25, 2005 Posted by Picasa

July 23, 2005

Tia Tiah went to Europe and brought this hat and Liederhosen back from Austria. Daks was apparently not too happy about the matching hats. When he can fit into the Liederhosen, I'll be sure to post a picture of him in it! Posted by Picasa

Two Months Old!

Daks had immunizations at his 2 month appointment. Garrick wasn't with me, so Grandma Julie came and held him down while the nurse poked his little legs with those big needles. It broke my heart to hear him scream in pain! He weighed 10 lbs. 5 oz. and was 24 inches long. Posted by Picasa

This Is How I Feel...

Daks was sad after moving that he couldn't see his grandmas and grandpas. Remember this face the next time you have an excuse to not come visit! See what you do to us? July 10, 2005. Posted by Picasa

July 7, 2005

"All this moving makes me tired!" Daks says. He looked so cute sleeping with his little bum up in the air! Posted by Picasa

....and Hello to the new!

We had lots of help moving, and on July 6 we moved into our new home! We have a yard and nice neighbors and nobody on the other side of the wall! We love it here! But Daks doesn't think anyone comes to visit often enough. (That's a hint, people!) Posted by Picasa

Goodbye, Lexington!

On July 5, 2005 we said "goodbye" to our old house... (and our crummy neighbors...) Posted by Picasa

Babysitting Great Grandpa Bundy

This was our last day in St. George before moving. Great Grandpa Bundy was playing with Daks and I guess he must have been boring or something...'cause he put Grandpa right to sleep! They were both so asleep that after a few minutes, I looked over at them, and Daks had slid clear down Grandpa's belly and was almost head first to fall out of his lap. Grandpa assured me, "I wouldn't let him fall!" I don't think he realized how close to falling Daks already was.... Posted by Picasa

Daks' Blessing

We blessed our baby boy on Mt. Trumbull, at the Bundy Reunion. He wore a little tuxedo. It had a tail, a bow tie and even a little cumberbun. It was the cutest thing! He didn't like having it on after too long, though. It was hot for him in that July mountain heat. Posted by Picasa

First Smile

Daks started smiling when he was four days old. By the time he was a month old I finally thought to grab the camera when he was smiling. So this was his first "on-camera" smile. Posted by Picasa

Mommy & Son

The photographer was a friend of mine. She did lots of different shots for us. It was so hard to choose the ones we wanted!! She did a really good job and we ended up with lots of neat pictures. June 21, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Happy Family

We sure love this new baby! June 21, 2005 Posted by Picasa

One Month Old

We took Daks to Sears for a photo shoot when he turned one month old. The pictures all turned out really cute! June 21, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Father's Day

Daks wasn't quite a month old when Father's Day came around. It was sure fun for us! Daks had already been holding his head up and smiling for some time. His Daddy sure loves him! June 19, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Baby Feet

Now Daks' feet with his Daddy's hands. I love these pictures! They're so sweet! Daks has definitely got his daddy's toes... August 19, 2005 Posted by Picasa

Hands

This is Mommy's hand and Baby's hand. He's so tiny! June 7, 2005 Posted by Picasa

May 23, 2005

Everyone said Daks looked so big in this picture. He was SOOO tiny, though! We were glad to be taking our baby home. Posted by Picasa

Daks Atwood Walker

Daks was born at 8:13 PM on May 21, 2005. He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. and was 22 inches long. Posted by Picasa

This picture was taken as we headed out the door on our way to the hospital! Our baby was FINALLY coming! Posted by Picasa
